Tanzania Safari - 4 Days Tarangire, Lake
Manyara, Olduvai Gorge and Ngorongoro Safari Tour

In the morning you depart from Arusha with picnic lunch boxes
and proceed to Tarangire National Park. This park has the
greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti
ecosystem – a smorgasbord of predators and the one place in
Tanzania where dry country antelope such as the stately fringed
eared Oryx and peculiar long necked gerenuk are regularly
observed. Drive in the park to explore some of the 300 elephants
that scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while
migratory wildebeest, zebra buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest
and land crowd the shrinking lagoons. Afternoon break for picnic
lunch. Then continue with game drive. Evening proceed to one of
the Lodges or Campsites in Tarangire for dinner and overnight
stay.
After breakfast depart from Tarangire with picnic lunch boxes
and proceed to Lake Manyara - short morning game drive in
Tarangire National Park. Thereafter drive to Lake Manyara
National Park for morning and afternoon game viewing. Manyara
provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More
than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time
visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of
these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued
flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large
waterbirds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. In the
afternoon break for picnic lunch. Continue with game drive
in-search of the big five which include the Lake Manyara
National Park tree climbing- lion- along the acacia corridor
strip. Evening leave the Park to reach your lodge or campsite in
time for dinner and overnight stay. Early morning
breakfast, then we collect your packed lunch and proceed to
Olduvai Gorge – with game drive en-route the Ngorongoro’s vast
rich game plains. Visit Olduvai Gorge for a briefing on the
history about the discovery of the Nut-Cracker-man
“Zinjanthropus” discovered and by Dr. Leakey in 1959. The
fossils have been dated about 1.75 million years. Enjoy your
picnic lunch at the site and thereafter drive to Ngorongoro for
dinner and overnight in one of the Lodges or Campsites superbly
perched on the rim of the Crater. In the morning collect your picnic
lunch boxes and descend 610m/2000ft into the Crater and spend
the day viewing in the crater floor. This collapsed volcano is
home to a large concentration of wildlife including lion, rhino,
hippo, hyena and elephant. In the afternoon take a short break
for picnic lunch. Continue with the tour and at 15:00hrs ascend
the walls of the crater and drive back to Arusha |
